I am looking forward to presenting at the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Summit which will be held this Thursday, November 3rd at District 28 in Toronto. I will be on a panel along with representatives from Clearpath Robotics and MaRS discussing Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystems. The City of Mississauga will be well represented as a number of our advanced manufacturing companies will be speaking at this event.
In my role as EDO’s Advanced Manufacturing Business Integrator for the City of Mississauga I work with manufacturing companies in supporting technology adoption, productivity improvement, strengthening supply chains and business to business connections, export markets, and assisting with workforce development opportunities and challenges. I will be discussing initiatives implemented on behalf of Mississauga companies to achieve the above objectives. DFM Summits bring together product developers, industrial designers, engineers, makers and manufacturers for a decentralized, leaner manufacturing ecosystem.
I highly encourage Mississauga companies to attend this summit and learn about how design principles impact advanced manufacturing in real and tangible ways. For more information, click here.
