Former Starter Company Participant, Jennifer Ribout, was nominated for the Mississauga Arts Council MARTY Awards in the Emerging Media Arts category. The ceremony took place on May 18th at the Mississauga Convention Centre. Ribout is the owner of J.K. Ribout photography.
Ribout started her journey in the Summer Company Program in 2014. Ribout has since continued to build and grow her business by partaking in the Starter Company Program delivered by the City of Mississauga’s Mississauga Business Enterprise Centre, which she completed in December 2016. With just over a year spent crafting her business with mentors, business professionals and community leaders, Ribout has been able to build a name for her business in the local community. Consequently, her hard work and skills were recognized by the Mississauga Arts Council at their 23rd annual MARTYS awards.
Her nomination in this category has been a great victory. Ribout is now specializing in fine art landscape photography and is currently working on expanding her new business.
