Innovation4D connects the venture capital community with the SME’s working in the Xerox Research Centre of Canada’s Innovation Hub. This premier event features guest speakers, a tour of a state-of-the-art pilot plant, pitch sessions, and networking opportunities.
Since 2013, the Xerox Research Centre of Canada has been nurturing an innovation hub in Mississauga, Ontario. With the help of its hub partners – RIC Centre and GreenCentre Canada – together they have developed an ecosystem focused on advanced materials, advanced manufacturing, and Cleantech.
The City of Mississauga is a proud sponsor of the Innovation 4D, and would like to showcase the six innovative companies that are participating in the program.
GreenMantra™ Technologies is one of many organizations that display great innovation and business growth across the greater region. GreenMantra™ currently works closely with the Xerox Research Centre and is the featured company this week.
The company is at the forefront of providing an environmentally positive alternative source for synthetic waxes, reducing reliance on traditional fossil fuels as a raw material. This helps advance progress toward the goal of a circular economy that responsibly reuses waste streams.
GreenMantra™ ensured they found a solution. One of the most economically attractive solutions is to create downstream “Upcycling” opportunities for post-consumer waste to increase recycling rates. This can be achieved using the GreenMantra Technologies propriety thermo-catalytic process to convert hard-to-recycle plastics into specialty chemicals. From all the possible downstream applications, the company has selected to enter the $2 Billion synthetic wax market.
Through their proprietary thermo-catalytic system and patented process, GreenMantra Technologies cost-effectively converts waste plastics, including hard-to-recycle materials such as grocery bags and film, into high-value waxes and other specialty chemicals. Its specialty wax products, marketed under the Ceranovus™ brand name, have a broad range of applications in polymer processing, adhesives, coatings, roofing and paving, and other industries.
GreenMantra™ Technologies is a specialty chemical company that has commercialized a patented and proprietary catalytic depolymerisation technology to economically produce a variety of waxes and specialty chemicals using an innovative and environmentally friendly process.
