Do you travel daily by car, bus, bicycle or on foot in and around Mississauga and have a vested interest in the future of how Mississauga moves? If so, we are looking for your input and invite you to attend the City of Mississauga’s first Transportation Summit – Mississauga Moves 2015.
Mississauga Moves will take place at the Living Arts Centre in downtown Mississauga on Monday, November 9 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Registered participants will have the opportunity to join transportation experts in interactive sessions to learn about and discuss the city’s current and future transportation needs. These sessions will look into how we manage future growth and congestion, the evolution of the City’s transit network and what the impact of driverless cars might be. Keynote speaker Samuel Schwartz also known as “Gridlock Sam” and a leading transportation expert in the United States will discuss creative ways to move people around Mississauga.
Mississauga Moves 2015 is a kick-off to the development of the City’s Transportation Master Plan, which will begin in 2016. Input received from those who attend the Summit will be used to help develop this plan.
If the future of our City’s roads and transportation system interest you, consider joining us on November 9 for Mississauga Moves 2015. Visit mississaugamoves2015.ca to register or watch for broader outreach and input from the community when the Transportation Master Plan begins in 2016.
