The Peel Halton Workforce Development Group (PHWDG) is a community based, not-for-profit Corporation funded by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. It functions as a neutral broker of research, disseminator of information and facilitator of collaborative partnerships.
Each year PHWDG works in resolving issues that affect workforce development in Peel Halton. The work could involve a demographic of the population or a particular sector. Youth and youth challenges have ranked high on our radar over the years.
Currently, PHWDG is working on labour market information (LMI) which can support youth. Listed below are some resources to gather “youth related” and other LMI:
Hire for Less – Wage & Training Subsidies for Employers in Peel Halton – most of these subsidies are youth specific.
