Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) will be holding two information sessions on the SMART Advanced Technologies for Global Growth Program. SMART is a $20-million federal program funded by FedDev Ontario, and provides non-repayable contributions for export-oriented manufacturers in southern Ontario looking to invest in advanced technologies.
The SMART Program supports Southern Ontario manufacturers in adopting new technologies that have the potential to improve productivity, create jobs, and increase their competitiveness in the global economy. SMART is funded by the Federal Economic Development Agendy for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) and administered by Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME). Through this initiative, CME can contribute 35% of eligible project costs to a maximum of $100,000; and 50% of the cost of an assessment to a maximum of $15,000. The maximum combined contribution is $100,000.
More details about the program can be found on their website, http://www.cme-smart.ca. The target audience for these sessions is the manufacturing sector, but sessions are open to other stakeholders. Two FREE breakfast information sessions have been scheduled in the GTA:
