Sheridan College’s Pilon School of Business faculty and students, are collaborating with, and seeking industry partners to solve real world challenges and opportunities as part of its commitment to experiential and problem-based approach to learning.
Pilon School of Business students, studying a variety of business disciplines, collaborate on industry provided projects with direction from professors while industry partners provide feedback and guidance through active engagement in meetings and presentations. The mutual benefits include gaining real-world understanding and experience for students, and value-added insight for businesses who receive fresh and creative perspectives on business challenges.
Recently Pilon School of Business’ Advertising and Marketing Communications – Management students partnered with AWAKE chocolate to overcome a pressing business problem – how to build awareness, especially among the key target market of Millennials, with a limited budget. This proved to be an excellent opportunity for Pilon School of Business students as they developed an online promotional video and an integrated marketing communications plan.
